| dc.description | Introduction: Obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome is a common respiratory dysfunction that affects 2-4% of adult people. During night airflow to lungs is reduced due to the syndrome and there are changes in B.P. of patients. Comorbidity of OSA and RHTN observes in more than 50% of people. Aim: The aim of the current study was to investigate the correlation between OSA and Resistant Hypertension as well as the associated risk factors for the two diseases. Method: The research was conducted in the databases, PUBMED AND CINAHL. Relevant studies were found and were reviewed and assessed. 8 studies were considered appropriate to conclude that were published between 2000 -2016. Results: OSA and RHTN showed a strong correlation. The results of the included studies showed homogeneity for the correlation. The most related risk factors of OSA and RHTN was age, obesity, (increased waist and neck circumference and increased BMI) and gender (male). Also M.S. seemed to significantly affect the appearance of OSA to people with RHTN. Conclusion: Characteristics of patients were the predictors of OSAHS and RHTN. Due to fact that OSA has been described in several studies as an underdiagnosed situation in many people further sensitivity and information are suggested about the two diseases in order to prevent comorbidity. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Εισαγωγή: Το Σύνδρομο αποφρακτικής άπνοιας ύπνου αποτελεί μια συχνή δυσλειτουργία του αναπνευστικού συστήματος και επηρεάζει το 2-4% του ενήλικου πληθυσμού. Παρατηρούνται επεισόδια μειωμένης ροής αέρα στους πνεύμονες κατά την διάρκεια της νύχτας και μεταβολές της Αρτηριακής Πίεσης. Η συννοσηρότητα Ανθεκτικής Υπέρτασης και Συνδρόμου Αποφρακτικής άπνοιας ύπνου παρατηρείται σε περισσότερο από 50% των ανθρώπων καθημερινά. Σκοπός: Σκοπός αυτής της συστηματικής βιβλιογραφικής ανασκόπησης είναι η διερεύνηση της συσχέτισης του ΣΑΑΥ και της Ανθεκτικής Υπέρτασης καθώς και οι σχετιζόμενοι παράγοντες κινδύνου των δύο νοσημάτων. Μέθοδος: Έγινε αναζήτηση στις ηλεκτρονικές βάσεις δεδομένων PUBMED και CINAHL. 8 μελέτες κρίθηκαν κατάλληλες για να συμπεριληφθούν από το 2000 μέχρι το 2016 Αποτελέσματα: Το Σ.Α.Α.Υ. και η Α.Υ. παρουσιάζουν ισχυρή συσχέτιση. Οι μελέτες που συμπεριλήφθηκαν παρουσίασαν ομοιογένεια όσον αφορά την συσχέτιση των δύο διαταραχών. Οι ισχυρότεροι σχετιζόμενοι παράγοντες Α.Α.Υ. και Α.Υ. ήταν η ηλικία, η παχυσαρκία (αυξημένη περιφέρεια μέσης και λαιμού και αυξημένος δείκτης BMI) και το φύλο. Το Μ.Σ. φάνηκε να επηρεάζει σημαντικά την εμφάνιση Α.Α.Υ. σε άτομα με Α.Υ. Συμπεράσματα: Τα χαρακτηριστικά των ασθενών ήταν αυτά που καθόρισαν τους σχετιζόμενους παράγοντες κινδύνου οι οποίοι έδωσαν μια σαφέστατη εικόνα της σχέσης Α.Α.Υ. και Ανθεκτικής Υπέρτασης. Λόγω του ότι το Σ.Α.Α.Υ. έχει χαρακτηριστεί σε αρκετές μελέτες ως συχνά μια μη διαγνωσμένη κατάσταση, προτείνεται περεταίρω ευαισθησία και ενημέρωση επί του θέματος καθώς και των παραγόντων κινδύνου οι οποίοι μπορούν να αποτρέψουν την συννοσηρότητα. | en_US |
