dc.descriptionThis dissertation presents and describes various technical methods and interventions used in existing traditional, listed buildings, monuments and churches, for the purpose of restoration, restoration, preservation and maintenance. The importance of maintaining and preserving the architectural heritage of our place is emphasized, which is protected by international conventions and laws which control any interventions in them. This is followed by a description of the morphology, functionality, and construction of the traditional structures, as well as the structural elements with their configuration. Then there is the pathology and the damage that occurs in the load-bearing masonry and in the various individual elements of the structures: floors, ceilings, etc. The main part of the dissertation describes the technical methods of restoration, maintenance and restoration of traditional and listed buildings that have been developed and applied in Cyprus and lists the various stages of restoration of load-bearing masonry, floors, floors and others construction. Finally, there are some examples of restoration and maintenance of old constructions through photographic material.en_US
dc.description.abstractΣτην παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία παρουσιάζονται και περιγράφονται διάφοροι τεχνικοί μέθοδοι και επεμβάσεις που χρησιμοποιούνται σε υφιστάμενα παραδοσιακά, διατηρητέα κτίρια, μνημεία και εκκλησίες, με σκοπό την αναπαλαίωση, την αποκατάσταση, την διατήρηση και συντήρηση της αρχιτεκτονικής κληρονομιάς του τόπου μας, η οποία προστατεύεται από διεθνείς συμβάσεις και νομοθεσίες οι οποίες και ελέγχουν οποιεσδήποτε επεμβάσεις σε αυτά. Ακολούθως γίνεται μια περιγραφή της μορφολογίας, λειτουργικότητας, και του τρόπου κατασκευής των παραδοσιακών κατασκευών, καθώς και τα δομικά στοιχεία με διάπλαση τους. Στη συνέχεια αναφέρονται η παθολογία και οι βλάβες που παρουσιάζονται στη φέρουσα τοιχοποιία και στα διάφορα επιμέρους στοιχεία των κατασκευών: δάπεδα, οροφές κλπ. Στο κύριο μέρος της πτυχιακής περιγράφονται οι τεχνικοί μέθοδοι αναπαλαίωσης, συντήρησης και αποκατάστασης παραδοσιακών και διατηρητέων κτιρίων που έχουν αναπτυχθεί και εφαρμόζονται στην Κύπρο και παρατίθενται τα διάφορα στάδια αποκατάστασης της φέρουσας τοιχοποιίας, των ορόφων, των δαπέδων και των άλλων μερών μιας κατασκευής. Τέλος, παρουσιάζονται κάποια παραδείγματα αποκατάστασης και συντήρησης παλιών κατασκευών μέσα από φωτογραφικό υλικό.en_US
