| dc.description | This study aims to do a research about accessible tourism in Cyprus, and most specifically the accessibility of disabled persons in Limassol museums, and designing an application to inform people about the accessibility rate of the museums. Firstly, there is a historical retrospection of the history of museums and the importance of accessibility to them. Then people with disabilities are defined. They face social exclusion because of lack of accessibility in Cyprus and worldwide. The requirements for an accessible museum are defined and becomes a detailed research into existing applications in such matters. Then an application is formed based on human-based design, making the search for an accessible museum much easier. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Η μελέτη αυτή σκοπό έχει την έρευνα σχετικά με τον προσβάσιμο τουρισμό στην Κύπρο και πιο συγκεκριμένα την προσβασιμότητα των ατόμων με κινητικές αναπηρίες στα μουσεία της Λεμεσού καθώς και το σχεδιασμό μιας εφαρμογής για καλύτερη ενημέρωση των ατόμων για το ποσοστό προσβασιμότητας των μουσείων. Αρχικά γίνεται μια ιστορική αναδρομή στα μουσεία και στη σημασία της προσβασιμότητας σε αυτά. Στη συνέχεια ορίζονται αυτοί που συμπεριλαμβάνονται στα άτομα με κινητικές αναπηρίες καταλήγοντας στον κοινωνικό αποκλεισμό που βιώνουν λόγο έλλειψης προσβασιμότητας στην Κύπρο αλλά και παγκόσμια. Ορίζονται οι προδιαγραφές για ένα προσβάσιμο μουσείο και γίνεται μια εντελεχής έρευνα σε υπάρχουσες εφαρμογές σε παρόμοια θέματα. Ακολούθως σχεδιάζεται η εφαρμογή με βάση τον ανθρωποκεντρικό σχεδιασμό, κάνοντας την αναζήτηση ενός προσβάσιμου μουσείο πολύ πιο εύκολη. | en_US |
