| dc.description | This work deals with the process of Napoleon Bonaparte, who from an invisible Corsican general managed to appropriately exploit the art of propaganda by attaining the glory and honour of a hero, succeeding in conquering power and eventually becoming emperor of France. More extensively, it analyses the way he has appropriately exploited every medium of his time, in order to fulfil his personal and political ambitions. Initially, it presents the relationship he had with the French popular press and the measures he and his allies took in censoring and ultimately manipulating him. Then, there are the six newspapers created and published under his own orders with the ultimate aim of clearly serving his personal and political goals. Apart from exploiting the French popular press, Napoleon also exploited the growing production of the metal, creating his own medals in order to boost his popularity by invading every French and non-French household. Furthermore, the relationship between him and the art is then examined and analysed. In particular, the crucial role he played in the transfer of remarkable objects and artifacts from Rome, as well as the propaganda exploitation of paintings in all phases of his career, created by the leading artists of the time after his own of commands. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Η εργασία αυτή πραγματεύεται την πορεία που είχε ο Ναπολέων Βοναπάρτης, ο οποίος από ένας αφανής Κορσικανός στρατηγός κατάφερε με κατάλληλο τρόπο να αξιοποιήσει την τέχνη της προπαγάνδας επιτυγχάνοντας τη δόξα και την τιμή ενός ήρωα, πετυχαίνοντας να κατακτήσει την εξουσία και να γίνει τελικά ο αυτοκράτορας ολόκληρης της Γαλλίας. Πιο εκτενώς, αναλύεται ο τρόπος ο οποίος εκμεταλλεύτηκε κατάλληλα κάθε μέσο της εποχής του, με σκοπό να εκπληρώσει τις προσωπικές αλλά και πολιτικές του φιλοδοξίες. Αρχικά, παρουσιάζεται η σχέση που είχε με τον γαλλικό λαϊκό Τύπο και τα μέτρα που έλαβε αυτός και οι σύμμαχοί του στη λογοκρισία και την τελική ολική χειραγώγηση του. Εν συνεχεία, παρουσιάζονται οι έξι εφημερίδες οι οποίες δημιουργήθηκαν και εκδόθηκαν υπό τις δικές του διαταγές με απώτερο σκοπό την ξεκάθαρη εξυπηρέτηση των προσωπικών και πολιτικών του στόχων. Εκτός από την εκμετάλλευση του γαλλικού λαϊκού Τύπου, ο Ναπολέων εκμεταλλεύτηκε και την αυξανόμενη παραγωγή του μετάλλου, δημιουργώντας τα δικά του μετάλλια με σκοπό να ενισχύσει τη δημοτικότητά του εισβάλλοντας σε κάθε γαλλικό και μη νοικοκυριό. Επίσης, εξετάζεται και αναλύεται η σχέση του ιδίου με τις τέχνες. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, παρουσιάζεται ο καθοριστικός ρόλος που είχε στη μεταφορά αξιόλογων αντικειμένων και ειδών τέχνης από τη Ρώμη, αλλά παράλληλα και η προπαγανδιστική εκμετάλλευση των ζωγραφικών έργων σε όλες τις φάσεις της καριέρας του, τα οποία δημιουργήθηκαν από τους κορυφαίους καλλιτέχνες της εποχής μετά από τις δικές του εντολές. | en_US |
