dc.descriptionLarnaca International Airport is the largest airport in Cyprus and it is a landmark for the city. Although it has a modern architectural design itself, it lacks in brand identity, as there is no logo to represent the building. After all, this is the aim of the thesis. The design of brand identity for Larnaca International Airport. In other words, the main target is to design a logo, suitable for a place like Larnaca Airport that is able to show the solemnity and staidness of the place. In addition, another area that the airport face an obstacle is the advertising area. The design of posters for promoting the facilities offered by the airport is a helpful way to overcome this problem. In order to complete the design of the brand identity, previous literature review was done, as well as visual research on other airport logos all over the world. The action research, that aims to give solutions to the research questions, follows a repeating cycle to check if the given solutions are suitable for the case of the International Airport of Larnaca.en_US
dc.description.abstractΟ Διεθνής Αερολιμένας Λάρνακας είναι ο μεγαλύτερος αερολιμένας της Κύπρου και αποτελεί ορόσημο για την Λάρνακα. Παρόλο τον μοντέρνο σχεδιασμό του αερολιμένα, ο ίδιος ως οργανισμός και υπηρεσία υστερεί σε γραφιστική και οπτική ταυτότητα, μιας και στο χώρο δεν συναντούμε λογότυπο. Αυτός είναι και ο σκοπός της εργασίας, η δημιουργία μια οπτικής ταυτότητας για τον Διεθνή Αερολιμένα Λάρνακας. Με άλλα λόγια, στόχος είναι ο σχεδιασμός ενός λογοτύπου, κατάλληλο για ένα χώρο σαν τον Διεθνή Αερολιμένα Λάρνακας όπου να προσδίδει το κύρος και τη σοβαρότητα του. Επίσης, σε ακόμα κάτι που υστερεί ο αερολιμένας είναι σε θέματα διαφήμισης, έτσι ο σχεδιασμός αφισών για προώθηση του χώρου είναι κάτι που θα βοηθήσει σε αυτό τον τομέα. Για να ολοκληρωθεί ο σχεδιασμός οπτικής ταυτότητας, προηγήθηκε βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση για όρους που ασχολούνται με την γραφιστική χώρου, όπως και οπτική έρευνα για άλλα λογότυπα αεροδρομίων ανά τον κόσμο. Μέσα από την έρευνα δράσης που έχει ως σκοπό να δοθούν λύσεις στα ερευνητικά ερωτήματα, ακολουθείται ο επαναλαμβανόμενος κύκλος έτσι ώστε οι λύσεις που προτείνονται να αρμόζουν στην περίπτωση του Διεθνούς Αερολιμένα Λάρνακας.en_US
