| dc.description | Peach is the third most cultivated temperate fruit tree crop worldwide, after apple and pear. There are many peach cultivars that have common characteristics, but each one has its own particular traits. This work focuses on the presentation of various cultivars that belong in the flat peach type. Initially, we discuss about origin and expansion of peach worldwide, its main botanical characteristics and its soil and climate requirements, along with main producing countries and production volumes. Their nutritional value and quality attributes of peach are also discussed. The main part of this study deals with the decription of main flat type peach cultivars, both yellow and white fleshed. | dc.description.abstract | Η καλλιέργεια της ροδακινιάς ανήκει στις τρεις κυριότερες καλλιέργειες φυλλοβόλλων οπωροφόρων δένδρων. Υπάρχουν πάρα πολλές ποικιλίες ροδάκινων που έχουν κοινά χαρακτηριστικά αλλά και η καθεμία έχει τα δικά της ιδιαίτερα γνωρίσματα. Η παρούσα εργασία επικεντρώνεται στην παρουσίαση διάφορων ποικιλιών της κατηγορίας των πλακέ ροδάκινων. Αρχικά στο 1ο κεφάλαιο γίνεται μια εισαγωγική έρευνα που αφορά την χώρα καταγωγής της ροδακινιάς και πώς έχει επεκταθεί στις υπόλοιπες χώρες όπου καλλιεργείται, επίσης επισημαίνονται τα κυριότερα βοτανικά χαρακτηριστικά του δένδρου, καθώς και οι εδαφοκληματικές απαιτήσεις του. Στην συνέχεια παρουσιάζονται στατιστικά στοιχεία ως προς τις ποσότητες παραγωγής και τις κυριότερες χώρες παραγωγής. Ακολούθως, παρουσιάζεται η διατροφική αξία των ροδάκινων και τα ποιοτικά τους χαρακτηριστικά. Το κύριο μέρος της εργασίας περιγραφει σημαντικές κιτρινόσαρκες και λευκόσαρκες ποικιλίες ροδακινιάς τύπου πλακέ, Για κάθε ποικιλία γίνεται αναφορά για το πως προέκυψε, το έτος δημιουργίας, τη χρονική περίοδο άνθισης και ωρίμανσης του καρπού, καθώς και τα εξωτερικά και ποιοτικά της χαρακτηριστικά. | en_US |
