Τα πλεονεκτήματα της χρήσης τους δικαιολογούνται από τις ιδιότητες και την αναλογία βάρους – αντοχής. Σε αυτή την μελέτη δύο κατασκευές με την ίδια κάτοψη αλλά με διαφορετικό αριθμό ορόφων αναλυθηκαν ώστε να συγκριθούν τα αποτελέσματα της σεισμικής ανάλυσης και πως το ύψος και η δυσκαμψία της κατασκευής επηρεάζουν τα αποτελέσματα. Στην μια κατεύθυνση το πλαίσιο ήταν οριζόντια αμετάθετο και στην άλλη κατεύθυνση πλαίσιο μεταφορά ροπής. Επιπλέον, έγινε σύγκριση των συνδυασμών των αποτελεσμάτων της ιδιομορφικής ανάλυση, μεταξύ των μεθόδων πλήρες τετραγωνικός συνδυασμός, ρίζας του αθροίσματος των τετραγώνων και των φορτίσεων IMR που εξάγονται από το πρόγραμμα STAAD.Pro V8i. | Description: | Steel structures is one of the most popular constructing methods being used now. The benefits of their use are justified by the properties and the weight to strength ratio of steel. In this thesis two structures with the same floor plan but with different number of stories are analyzed in order to compare the differences in the results of the seismic analysis and how the height and stiffness of the structure effect the results. The frame on the on direction was a braced frames and on the other direction a moment frame.
