Description
The Manchester School was first published more than eighty years ago and has become a distinguished, internationally recognised, general economics journal. The journal publishes high-quality research covering all areas of the economics discipline, although the editors particularly encourage original contributions, or authoritative surveys, in the fields of microeconomics (including industrial organisation and game theory), macroeconomics, econometrics (both theory and applied) and labour economics. Consistent with the strategic aim of enhancing the international standing of the journal to a general economics readership, we will only consider publishing manuscripts that make a significant contribution from either a theoretical or empirical perspective, in terms of originality, rigour and reach. In particular, we do not wish to publish manuscripts which replicate existing results and/or are limited in scope/applicability and thus more suitable to regional and/or specialised field journals.
