Description
The Journal of Modern Greek Studies is a biannual journal, sponsored by the MGSA and published by Johns Hopkins University Press, which features essays, written in English, by leading scholars in the field of Modern Greek Studies from North America and around the world. Focusing on a broad historical expanse that stretches from late Byzantium until the present, the JMGS is highly interdisciplinary, publishing peer-reviewed articles from scholars who represent a diversity of fields within the humanities, the arts, and the social sciences. A JMGS subscription is complimentary with MGSA membership. We have a page on the JMGS which hosts current and past issues and two extra features: "In Focus" contains supplementary material that accompany the printed issue, that include podcasts, photographs, music, videos, and poetry readings. "Occasional Papers" hosts interviews, position papers, reports on collaborative projects and other material on current matters relating to Greece, Cyprus, Greek and Greeks worldwide selected by the editors. The latest "Occasional Paper" may be accessed without a password here ‣ Back issues of the journal can be accessed online through the Project MUSE system of the Johns Hopkins University Press. Access requires a password, which is your MGSA membership number.
