Many significant political and social events have been shown to co-occur with conspiracy theories and various studies suggest that people are likely to endorse and define them for a number of reasons. The article aims to discuss how and why these speculations seem plausible to some people. It focuses on conspiracy theories related to the 2013 Cyprus Financial Crisis.en_US
