Dr Christina Mitsiopoulou graduated from the Department of Animal Science of the Agricultural University of Athens. She continued his post-graduate studies in the same University. During her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, she has been awarded scholarships, prizes and distinctions.

Her scientific background includes: 17 published articles in scientific journals and 16 abstracts/proceedings in international conferences. She has worked as a salaried researcher, in research programs of the Laboratory of Nutritional Physiology & Feeding.

Her research interests mainly focus on the regulation of immune system genes, the expression of genes involved in lipid metabolism and milk production, the study of rumen microbiota, the detection of bioactive components of animal products and the impact of a dietary intervention on oxidative status.
