My main area of expertise lies in user experience and information architecture. I have both applied knowledge which I have used freelancing for 7 years as a user experience researcher and software engineer. I have also been involved in research and development as well as having substantial and teaching experience in computer science and HCI related topics. My research directions include Human Computer Interaction, Information Interaction and Architecture and Digital Libraries, and how they can be enhanced by state of the art and future technologies. Some of the entities which I have collaborated with or worked for in projects include Microsoft, Nokia, Department for Education UK, Cyprus Broadcasting Channel and the Federal Department of Antiquities. I have also given talks and presentations to both academia and industry and taken leadership and managerial roles in team projects. I have extensive experience in user study design and facilitation using state of the art technologies for eliciting user requirements and performing systems evaluation, both in industry and academia. Beyond teaching, software development and research I also have extensive organisational experience for events such as conferences and workshop facilitation. Generally, I enjoy learning new skills and to be aware of the latest methods and technologies.
