dc.descriptionThe writing of this Thesis followed a research in books and on the internet especially in the field of thermodynamics. The aim of this thesis is the study of the fuel blends and their role in the behavior of the gasoline internal combustion engine. Also as part of the thesis experiments were made with various blends and the results were analyzed to extract significant conclusions. The first part of the thesis includes the theory of gasoline internal combustion engine, how it started, its progression and the different parts as well as its operation. This part also includes the study conducted before carrying out the experiments on the various blends. The second part of the thesis presents the experimental results and their analysis as they are extracted from the appropriate software and experimental internal combustion engine system at the Cyprus University of Technology. Finally different conclusions concerning the change of efficiency in each case are presented.en_US
dc.description.abstractΗ συγγραφή της συγκεκριμένης μελέτης έγινε έπειτα από σχετική έρευνα σε βιβλία και στο διαδίκτυο κυρίως στο τομέα της θερμοδυναμικής. Ο στόχος αυτής της Πτυχιακής διατριβής είναι η μελέτη των μιγμάτων καυσίμου και ο ρόλος που παίζουν στην συμπεριφορά της βενζινοκίνητης μηχανής εσωτερικής καύσης. Επίσης στο πλαίσιο της διατριβής έγιναν πειράματα με διάφορα μίγματα και τα αποτελέσματα αναλύθηκαν για εξαγωγή των διαφόρων συμπερασμάτων. Το πρώτο μέρος της Πτυχιακής διατριβής περιλαμβάνει τη θεωρία για την βενζινοκίνητη μηχανή εσωτερικής καύσης, το πώς ξεκίνησε, την εξέλιξη της και τα διάφορα μέρη που την απαρτίζουν όπως επίσης και τη λειτουργία της. Ακόμα παρουσιάζεται η μελέτη που έγινε πριν από την εκτέλεση των πειραμάτων πάνω στα διάφορα μίγματα. Στο δεύτερο μέρος παρουσιάζονται τα πειραματικά αποτελέσματα και η ανάλυση τους όπως έχουν εξαχθεί από το ανάλογο λογισμικό και το σύστημα συλλογής δεδομένων της πειραματικής μηχανής εσωτερικής καύσης του Τεχνολογικού Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου. Τέλος παρουσιάζονται τα διάφορα συμπεράσματα που εξήχθηκαν τα οποία αφορούν κυρίως στη μεταβολή της απόδοσης σε κάθε περίπτωση.en_US
