| dc.description | The determination of the vertical position of points on the ground is very important nowadays for a large number of Engineer’s applications and necessary now in topographical charts. For this purpose, in the area of Limassol, it was decided to establish a geodetic Vertical Control Network (V. C. N) for urban use because there was no vertical control network. The height differences between the points of the network were determined using the method of Double Geometric Leveling. The positions of the network points (in the cartographic base of ArcMap software) and the measurements that led to the establishment of a new network in the wider area of Limassol are included. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Ο προσδιορισμός της κατακόρυφης θέσης σημείων του εδάφους είναι πολύ σημαντικός στις μέρες μας για το μεγαλύτερο πλήθος των έργων του Μηχανικού και είναι απαραίτητη πλέον στα τοπογραφικά διαγράμματα. Για το σκοπό αυτό, στην περιοχή της Λεμεσού, λόγω απουσίας δικτύου κατακόρυφου ελέγχου αποφασίστηκε να ιδρυθεί ένα γεωδαιτικό Δίκτυο Κατακόρυφου Ελέγχου (Δ.Κ.Ε) για αστική χρήση. Προσδιορίστηκαν οι υψομετρικές διαφορές μεταξύ των κορυφών του, με τη μέθοδο της Διπλής Γεωμετρικής Χωροστάθμησης. Συμπεριλαμβάνονται οι θέσεις των κορυφών που τοποθετήθηκαν (σε χαρτογραφικό υπόβαθρο του λογισμικού ArcMap) και οι μετρήσεις που οδήγησαν στην ίδρυση νέου δικτύου στην ευρύτερη περιοχή της Λεμεσού. | en_US |
