Υψηλά επίπεδα συμπτωμάτων κατάθλιψης και άγχους σε έφηβους καπνιστές, υποδηλώνουν σημαντική σχέση μεταξύ της χρήσης καπνού και της ψυχικής υγείας. Σκοπός: Σκοπός της παρούσας πτυχιακής εργασίας είναι να διερευνήσει, τον πιθανό σύνδεσμο μεταξύ του καπνίσματος με την κατάθλιψη και του άγχος κατά την εφηβική ηλικία . Υλικό και Μέθοδος: Η μέθοδος που χρησιμοποιήθηκε είναι η αναζήτηση της σχετικής διεθνούς βιβλιογραφίας στις βάσεις δεδομένων Pubmed και Cochrane, medley, Google scholar για την τελευταία δεκαπενταετία, χρησιμοποιώντας τις λέξεις κλειδιά. Από τα 23 άρθρα επιλέγηκαν 6 τα όποια τηρούσαν τα απαραίτητα κριτήρια αναζήτησης. Αποτελέσματα: Μέσα από την αναζήτηση της βιβλιογραφίας διαπιστώθηκε ότι το κάπνισμα σχετίζεται με συμπτώματα άγχους, κατάθλιψη αλλά και της κακής σχολικής απόδοσης στους εφήβους. Συμπεράσματα: Οι έφηβοι καπνιστές με συμπτώματα όπως η κατάθλιψη και το άγχος διατρέχουν αυξημένο κίνδυνο εξάρτησης από τη νικοτίνη μέχρι ακόμη και την ενηλικίωση τους. | Description: | Introduction: Adolescence is undoubtedly a critical phase of life for the development of both addictive behaviors and depression. High levels of depressive and anxiety symptoms in adolescent smokers suggest a significant link between tobacco use and mental health. Aim: The aim of this dissertation is to investigate the possible link between smoking and depression and adolescence stress. Material and Method: The method used is to search the relevant international literature in the Pubmed and Cochrane, medley, Google scholar databases for the last fifteen years, using the keywords. From the 23 articles, 6 were selected which met the necessary search criteria. Results: Through the literature search it was found that smoking is associated with symptoms of anxiety, depression and poor school performance in adolescents.
