Η πορεία της Σαλώμης ως η μοιραία γυναίκα του 19ου αιώνα, εξετάζεται μέσα από έργα των Gustave Moreau, Joris-Karl Huysmans, Oscar Wilde, Aubrey Beardsley, Richard Strauss, Gustave Klimt, Max Oppenheimer, κ.ά. | Description: | This dissertation looks at the concept of the femme fatale, as it was formulated from the mid 19th to the early 20th century, and the relationship of this concept to the Biblical Salome. It examines the conditions that led to the creation of the legend of the femme fatale at the fin-desiècle, and the reasons why artists of the time chose to embody her in Salome’s face.
