| dc.description | This postgraduate Thesis entitled ‘Techno-Economic Analysis of measures and interventions to create low carbon footprint buildings’ under the supervision and guidance of Professor Dr Theodoros Zachariades, has as his design and identification of optimal heating production systems and refrigeration of typical building in Cyprus, aiming at the creation of low cost buildings carbon footprint. In the context of the study, it was initially calculated with the help of energy simulation tool (Energy Plus) the energy demand for heating and cooling typical building which are the basis of Cypriot dynamic. Then, the energy consumption calculated to cover needs with the use of different heating and cooling production systems. This was followed by an environmental and economic evaluation of the results by calculating CO₂ emissions and net present value respectively. At the end of the techno-economic evaluation the heating and cooling production systems for each type of building and for each study content. The analysis was carried out for three types of buildings: the detached house, the residence house and office buildings for fire areas based on climatic characteristics, which are Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca, Paphos and Saitas. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα Μεταπτυχιακή Διατριβή με τίτλο «Τεχνοοικονομική ανάλυση μέτρων και επεμβάσεων για τη δημιουργία κτιρίων χαμηλού ανθρακικού αποτυπώματος» υπό την εποπτεία και καθοδήγηση του καθηγητή Δρ. Θεόδωρου Ζαχαριάδη, έχει ως στόχο την μελέτη και τον προσδιορισμό των βέλτιστων συστημάτων παραγωγής θέρμανσης και ψύξης τυπικών κτιρίων στην Κύπρο, με στόχο την δημιουργία κτιρίων χαμηλού ανθρακικού αποτυπώματος.Στο πλαίσιο της μελέτης, σε πρώτο στάδιο υπολογίστηκε με τη βοήθεια δυναμικού εργαλείου ενεργειακής προσομοίωσης (EnergyPlus) η ζήτηση ενέργειας για θέρμανση και ψύξη για τυπικά κτίρια τα οποία αποτελούν τη βάση του Κυπριακού κτιριακού δυναμικού. Ακολούθως, υπολογίστηκε η κατανάλωση ενέργειας για την κάλυψη των αναγκών με την χρήση διαφορετικών συστημάτων παραγωγής θέρμανσης και ψύξης. Στη συνέχεια, ακολούθησε περιβαλλοντική και οικονομική αξιολόγηση των αποτελεσμάτων μέσω του υπολογισμού των εκπομπών CO2 και της Καθαρής Παρούσας Αξίας αντίστοιχα. Με το πέρας της τεχνοοικονομικής αξιολόγησης προέκυψε το βέλτιστο σύστημα παραγωγής θέρμανσης και ψύξης για τον κάθε τύπο κτιρίου και για κάθε περιοχή μελέτης. Η ανάλυση πραγματοποιήθηκε για τρεις τύπους κτιρίων, αυτούς της μονοκατοικίας, της πολυκατοικίας και του κτιρίου γραφείων και για πέντε περιοχές μελέτης με βάση κλιματολογικά χαρακτηριστικά της Λεμεσού, της Λευκωσίας, της Λάρνακας, της Πάφου και του Σαϊτά. | en_US |
