Διότι, οι πρόσφυγες φαίνεται να είναι αναγκασμένοι να συστήσουν μια νέα κοινωνική και ατομική πραγματικότητα στο περιβάλλον στο οποίο αναγκάζονται να ενταχθούν. Η μεθοδολογία της έρευνας είναι ποιοτική, καθώς εκτιμάται ως η καταλληλότερη μεθοδολογία για τα κοινωνικά φαινόμενα όπως είναι η προσφυγιά. Η συλλογή πληροφοριών έχει βασιστεί σε ημι-δομημένες συνεντεύξεις δηλαδή συζητήσεις με σκοπό. Έπειτα, για την ανάλυση των συνεντεύξεων χρησιμοποιήθηκε η θεματική ανάλυση περιεχομένου ή θεματική κωδικοποίηση. Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας κατέδειξαν πως η ταυτότητα των προσφύγων είναι υπό διαπραγμάτευση, δηλαδή οι πρόσφυγες διαπραγματεύονται την ταυτότητα τους «υπό» το βλέμμα των ίδιων, καθώς βιώνουν μια νέα κοινωνική πραγματικότητα και βρίσκονται σε αλληλεπίδραση με τους ντόπιους- Αθηναίους. Παράλληλα, οι πρόσφυγες όχι μόνο διότι είναι ξένοι, αλλά και διότι βρίσκονται για μικρό χρονικό διάστημα στην Αθήνα και παράλληλα διότι δεν επιθυμούν να διαμένουν στην Ελλάδα. | Description: | This dissertation deals with the complex process of building the "identity" of the refugees in Athens, as refugees seem to be forced to create a new social and individual reality in the environment in which they are forced to join. Research methodology is qualitative, as it is considered to be the most appropriate methodology for social phenomena such as the refugee crisis. The collection of information is based on semi-structured interviews and specifically discussions with purpose. Then, the content analysis or thematic coding was used to analyze the interviews. The results of the survey have shown that the refugee identity is under negotiation, especially since refugees negotiate their identity from their own point of view, as they experience a new social reality and interact with native Athenians.
