Αρχικά συλλέχθηκαν προνύμφες κουνουπιών Cullex pipiens από 19 διαφορετικές περιοχές της Κύπρου με τη χρήση προγραμμάτων καταπολέμησης κουνουπιών τα τελευταία χρόνια και εξετάστηκε ο δυναμισμός και η επικινδυνότητα τους.Επιπλέον, έγιναν συλλογές ωών με παγίδες ωοθεσίας για το «Ασιατικό κουνούπι τίγρης» Aedes Albopictus αλλά και άλλων τελείων εντόμων με παγίδες συλλογής τους. Στη συνέχεια μέσω της χρήσης στερεοσκοπίου έγινε η ταυτοποίηση των διαφόρων ειδών εντόμων, αποθηκεύτηκαν και είναι έτοιμα για τη μοριακή ταυτοποίηση τους. Η δημιουργία πρωτοκόλλων κρίνεται ιδιαίτερα σημαντική αφού σε αυτή βασίζεται η ταυτοποίηση των εντόμων.Από τις παγίδες που στήθηκαν δεν υπήρχαν αρκετά ευρήματα λόγω χρονικής περιόδου. Αν οι παγίδες στήνονταν κατά την καλοκαιρινή περίοδο τα ευρήματα θα ήταν πολύ περισσότερα. Μετακινώντας τις παγίδες τελείων εντόμων στην περιοχή γύρω από τα σημεία εισόδου και τοποθετώντας προσελκυστικό και CO2 θα γινόταν μεγαλύτερη προσέλκυση και συλλογή εντόμων. Αυτό, παράλληλα με την παρακολούθηση θα αποτελούσε σημαντικό παράγοντα.Ωστόσο υπήρξε η ταυτοποίηση 6 θηλυκών ειδών Culex Pipiens όπου η ύπαρξη τέτοιων πληθυσμών πιθανών να ερμηνεύει την παρουσία κρουσμάτων του ιού στην Κύπρο. Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας θα κατευθύνουν τις μέχρι σήμερα προσπάθειές μας και θα εισαγάγουν νέες μεθόδους αντιμετώπισης και ελέγχου των κουνουπιών στη χώρα μας. Ιδιαίτερη σημασία θα δοθεί στην ενημέρωση και επιμόρφωση του κοινού για θέματα αντιμετώπισης κουνουπιών με μέσα φιλικότερα προς το περιβάλλον. | Description: | To begin with, this paper presents an overview of the entomological investigation for the labeling of the various species of mosquitoes in Cyprus. Originally, in recent years there was a harvest of Cullex pipiens mosquito larvae from 19 different regions of Cyprus through the use of mosquito control programs. Then their dynamism and risk were examined. In addition, egg collections were made with egg-trapping traps for the Aedes Albopictus also known as the Asian mosquito tiger, as well as other end insects with traps for harvesting them. Furthermore, through the use of stereoscope an identification of the different types of insects was able to be made, and then saved in order to be ready for their molecular identification. The creation of protocols is particularly important since the identification of insects is based on that. From the traps that were set up, there were not enough findings due to the time period. If the traps were being set up during the summer season, undoubtedly the findings would have been a lot more. Moving the traps of the end insects to the area around the points of entry and placing attractive and CO2 would lead to a bigger attraction and collection of insects. That, as well as the observation would have been a very important factor. However, there was the identification of six female types of Culex Pipiens and the existence of such populations probably shows the outbreak of the virus in Cyprus. The results of the research, will guide all the efforts we have placed so far, towards introducing new methods of controlling as well as coping with the mosquitoes in our country.
