Abstract
Unlocking Sacred Landscapes is a research network currently based at the Archaeological Research Unit of the University of Cyprus, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Republic of Cyprus, through the Research and Innovation Foundation (EXCELLENCE/1216/0362). This inter-disciplinary Network is concerned with the diachronic study of the temporality, spatiality and materiality of Mediterranean sacred landscapes in general. The function of the Network is based on an Agreement of collaboration between the Department of Classics of Trinity College Dublin, the Laboratory of Geophysical-Satellite Remote Sensing and Archaeo-environment of The Institute for Mediterranean Studies in Crete, and the Archaeological Research Unit of the University of Cyprus. The Network encourages direct contact and research cooperation, such as joint research activities, exchange of faculty members, postdoctoral fellows and research associates for lectures and network meetings, exchange of graduate and undergraduate students for study and research, co-organisation and participation in lectures, seminars and conferences, and co-organisation of teaching activities and training courses.
