According to the same source, the future of the tourism industry is auspicious, with tourist traffic around the world expected to reach around 1.6 billion by 2020. Ιn our country, the tourism industry already contributes a significant share in shaping national income (13% of Gross National Product) and employs about forty thousand workers.
